Connect Insomnia (Collaborative API Design) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Insomnia (Collaborative API Design) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate API spec retrieval in Cline
Cline uses `list_orgs` and `list_projects` to navigate your API ecosystem. It finds the right file ID so you don't have to hunt for it manually. After locating your target, Cline runs `get_file` to pull the raw JSON content into your workspace. This lets you build out your endpoints based on the source of truth.
Track API changes with Cline
Use `list_branches` to see how your design specs are evolving in real-time. Cline can compare these branches to identify where your team might have diverged. It also uses `list_ai_requests` to show you what test suggestions or spec updates have been generated. You get a clear view of the design history without leaving the sidebar.
Verify environment configurations with Cline
Cline checks your `list_environments` output to ensure your base URLs and headers are set correctly. It catches configuration errors before you attempt to make your first network call. If you need to test a specific flow, it uses `list_mocks` to identify available mock endpoints. Cline then triggers the necessary requests against these mocks to validate your logic.
