Connect JSONBin.io MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect JSONBin.io to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline MCP Server Mock Backends
The `create_collection` tool groups related JSON records so Cline can build a structured mock API from scratch. You ask for a dashboard layout, and your agent immediately sets up the collection and populates it using `create_bin`. This gives you a functional remote endpoint in seconds. Cline writes the frontend components, points them at the new collection, and tests the data fetch. You watch the diffs generate while the backend handles itself.
Real-Time State Mutation
The `update_bin` tool modifies existing JSON records as your application requirements change. Cline fetches the current state with `read_bin`, alters the specific fields, and pushes the update back to the server. You get automatic versioning with every change. If a test fails, Cline can inspect the exact payload, fix the malformed data, and retry the operation. The entire edit cycle happens inside your editor.
Scoped Access Controls
The `create_access_key` tool generates restricted tokens for specific environments. Cline can provision a read-only key for your staging app while keeping write access locked down. It manages these credentials without you touching a dashboard. When a project finishes, you just tell the agent to run `delete_access_key`. Your security hygiene stays intact, and you never leave VS Code.
