Connect Kapwing MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Kapwing to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Programmatic video creation in Cursor
Generating new video files from your editor relies on the `create_render` tool to turn JSON layers into real media. Cursor uses your active code context to build structured layouts with specific dimensions and text inputs. This lets your editor test dynamic video templates without relying on hardcoded mock files. You get real rendering feedback directly inside your development workspace.
Real-time status checks via Cursor MCP Server
Tracking active rendering jobs is done using the `get_render_status` tool to pull live progress. Cursor watches the export pipeline, checking if your MP4 is ready or if the layout failed. You can write code that automatically reacts when the job finishes. The editor pulls the final download URL straight into your terminal or chat panel.
Feed past assets into your codebase
Retrieving your complete media catalog uses the `list_renders` tool to fetch past video outputs through the MCP Server. Cursor reads your account history, allowing you to feed actual production IDs back into your code. It eliminates the need to copy-paste asset links from a browser. Your developer agent inspects the output list and maps the correct URLs to your local variables.
