VS Code Copilot tools for automated billing tests
Writing unit tests for payment flows usually requires writing massive mock files instead of pulling live data with `get_order` or `list_orders`. This MCP Server gives your workspace direct access so your editor can inspect real transaction shapes. Your editor uses these real payloads to generate accurate test assertions. You avoid the drift that happens when mock files fall out of sync with actual API responses.
Verify store configurations across your engineering team
When multiple developers work on the same billing integration, keeping store IDs aligned is tough unless you verify them with `list_stores` or `get_account_info`. Setting up this MCP Server inside your workspace ensures everyone targets the correct endpoints. This ensures everyone is writing code against the correct environment. It eliminates the common issue where developers accidentally test code against the wrong sandbox or production store.
Debug subscription cycles during local development
Investigating why a customer's subscription isn't updating locally is faster when you can query the API using `list_subscriptions` directly. Your editor can trigger this tool to pull the exact status of any test user. You can then ask the editor to compare that status with your local database records. It will identify mismatched renewal dates or missing webhooks without requiring you to open an external API client.
