Feed Legal Data to Google ADK Enterprise Agents

This LexisNexis MCP Server connects `search_legal_cases` and `get_case_details` to your Gemini models via the Google ADK. Gemini's million-token context window ingestion allows your agent to analyze hundreds of pages of court documents in a single pass. You can combine this legal data with your existing BigQuery datasets. The ADK lets you write agents that query the database, pull case histories, and store the structured results directly in Google Cloud.

Verify Corporate Dossiers in BigQuery

The `get_company_dossier` and `search_companies` tools let your Google ADK agent pull corporate structures and financial records into your cloud pipeline. The agent checks company names against your internal CRM tables and updates them with fresh data. By using `list_sources`, your agent selects the exact corporate registries to query. This keeps your Vertex AI pipelines clean and prevents Gemini from processing irrelevant business registries.

Track Executive Risks with Gemini

The `search_biographies` and `search_news` tools allow Google ADK agents to monitor executive profiles and negative media coverage. The agent scans news articles to flag potential conflicts of interest or regulatory red flags. The ADK handles the transport layer over HTTP or Stdio automatically. This means your Gemini agent can run these background intelligence searches continuously without manual developer oversight.

Setup guide

Set up LexisNexis MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with LexisNexis tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="LexisNexis_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to LexisNexis tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about LexisNexis MCP in Google ADK

Install `google-adk` and use `McpToolset` with the HTTP transport parameters pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Pass the toolset directly to your `LlmAgent` constructor to expose the tools.
Yes, the ADK supports a tool names filter. You can configure the toolset to only expose `search_news` and hide sensitive tools like `get_company_dossier` from specific agent instances.
The ADK is designed for Gemini's long-context window, meaning it easily handles the massive text files returned by `get_case_details`. The toolset streams the raw data directly into the model's context.
No, the ADK connects directly to the hosted MCP Server on Vinkius over HTTP. Your enterprise cloud agents access the API without needing local node or python processes running.
No, your search queries and company dossiers are never cached. The Vinkius sandbox executes the requests ephemerally, and the ADK passes the raw text directly to Gemini without saving it to disk.
