How to Use the Liveblocks (Collaborative) MCP in Cline
Cline executes end-to-end collaborative workflows using Liveblocks (Collaborative) to sync state and threads.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Liveblocks (Collaborative) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Liveblocks (Collaborative) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-end room creation in Cline
Cline manages your entire collaborative lifecycle by calling `create_room` and `update_room`. It creates the space and sets the metadata required for your team to connect. You can query existing infrastructure using `list_rooms`. Cline filters the results to find the correct ID before it performs any further modifications.
Binary state sync for complex documents
For high-frequency updates, Cline uses `update_ydoc` to push binary changes to your shared state. This ensures that concurrent edits remain consistent across every connected client. It retrieves history snapshots using `list_versions` to audit changes. Cline checks these versions to ensure the document state matches your requirements.
Direct thread and comment handling
Cline automates your project discussions by invoking `create_thread` when it hits a logic block. It pulls open items with `list_threads` so you know what needs attention. You resolve these items by triggering `resolve_thread`. The agent keeps your collaborative state aligned with your actual code progress.
