Query Macaulay Library directly inside Cursor
`search_media` connects your Cursor agent directly to the live wildlife archive to pull real media records during coding sessions. You don't have to write dummy JSON or placeholder arrays when building your application. Your agent runs the query, grabs the raw response, and writes code using real taxonomic data. You skip the guesswork entirely.
Map asset schemas into your codebase
`get_asset` retrieves the complete metadata payload for any specific recording ID directly into your editor. You feed the tool an asset ID, and it returns the exact JSON structure. Your Cursor agent reads this live payload to generate precise TypeScript interfaces or database schemas. You avoid stupid integration bugs because your code matches the actual API output from day one.
Fetch recent media for local testing
`get_recent_media` pulls the latest uploads from the archive to help you test your application with fresh data. Your agent calls this tool to retrieve a list of recent assets. This lets you test how your UI handles new uploads without manually creating mock records. Cursor uses the live feed to populate your test environment instantly.
