Connect Mail-in-a-Box MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Mail-in-a-Box to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Mail-in-a-Box MCP Server Integration
The `get_system_status` tool feeds live server health metrics straight into your Cursor workspace. When you are writing a script that interacts with your mail server, Agent mode verifies the system is actually online before running tests. You can also call `list_mail_domains` to pull real domain names into your code. The agent writes working API calls using actual domains from your server instead of generating placeholder strings.
Dynamic Account Generation
Your agent uses `create_mail_user` to generate real test accounts on the fly. You tell Cursor you need a dummy inbox for testing a registration flow, and it provisions the account with a password instantly. Once your code tests are done, the agent runs `delete_mail_user` to wipe the test account. You can also test password reset logic by having the agent call `update_user_password` mid-development.
Automated Alias Configuration
The `create_or_update_alias` tool lets Cursor configure forwarding rules while you write email routing logic. You pass a comma-separated list of addresses, and the agent sets up the alias on your live server. It audits your current setup using `list_mail_aliases` and removes outdated forwards with `delete_mail_alias`. This keeps your development environment perfectly synced with your actual mail infrastructure.
