Connect Maildroppa MCP to Google ADK

Create your Vinkius account to connect Maildroppa to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.

GDPR Free for Subscribers

Sync Subscribers from BigQuery

Here's where Google ADK really clicks. Your agent can pull a customer list from a BigQuery table, then use its long-context window to decide which ones need to be added or updated in your email list. It then calls `create_subscriber` or `update_subscriber` in Maildroppa. The process works both ways. Use the agent to `list_subscribers` from Maildroppa and push that data back into a BigQuery dataset for deeper analysis. You get a two-way sync between your data warehouse and your marketing tool.

Build Segments with Your Google ADK Agent

The Maildroppa MCP Server gives your agent all the controls for list management. It can `list_segments` and `list_tags` to get the current state of your account. From there, your agent can decide to `create_tag` for a new campaign or `create_segment` for a specific audience. You can also filter which tools are exposed to your `LlmAgent` by passing a `tool_names` list to the `McpToolset`. This is useful for creating specialized agents in your Google Cloud environment that are only allowed to read data using `get_subscriber_details` but not write it.

Manage Custom Fields at Scale

Your agent gets full visibility into your Maildroppa data structure. It can call `list_custom_fields` to see exactly what information you're tracking for each subscriber. When you need to backfill data—say, updating a 'Region' field for thousands of users—your Gemini-powered agent can handle it. It can fetch user data from another source, then call `update_subscriber_field` for each person on your Maildroppa list, turning a manual chore into an automated task.

Setup guide

Set up Maildroppa MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Maildroppa tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Maildroppa_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Maildroppa tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Maildroppa MCP in Google ADK

First, `pip install google-adk`. Then, create an `McpToolset` pointing to your Vinkius server URL. Pass that toolset into your `LlmAgent` constructor, and the Maildroppa tools from the MCP server become available.
Absolutely. Your agent can read data from Google Sheets, then use its reasoning to format that data correctly and call `create_subscriber` for each new entry in Maildroppa.
It's the native integration with Google Cloud. Your agent can reason over massive datasets in BigQuery or use models from Vertex AI to decide which actions to take in Maildroppa, like using `add_tag_to_subscriber`.
Yes. When you configure the `McpToolset`, you can provide an optional `tool_names` list. This restricts the agent to only using the Maildroppa tools you explicitly allow, giving you tighter control.
The server only processes subscriber data like emails and custom field values when a tool is called. Your connection is secured through a Vinkius endpoint token, and the server environment is isolated and temporary, so your data isn't stored.
