How to Use the Maileon MCP in Cline
Let Cline manage your email lists and dispatch campaigns directly from VS Code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Maileon MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Maileon to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Contact Pruning
Stale data costs money. You tell Cline to clean up your bounced users, and it starts by pulling individual records with `get_contact_by_email`. When it finds a dead address through the MCP Server, it immediately fires `delete_account_contact`. Cline handles the entire cleanup loop in the background while you focus on building features.
Campaign Execution
You don't need a browser to launch a newsletter. Tell your agent to prep the weekly update, and it fetches the exact configuration using `get_mailing_details`. If the mailing is in a ready state, Cline executes `dispatch_email_mailing`. The MCP connection handles the API call, verifies the success response, and logs the output right in your terminal window.
Building Dashboards with this MCP Server
Cline excels at turning raw API data into actual code. Ask it to build a reporting widget, and it pulls historical campaigns using `list_email_mailings`. It then loops through those IDs with `get_mailing_statistics` to get open rates and clicks. Cline writes the React component, mocks the data it just fetched, and shows you the working diff.
