Analyze MailerLite data with Google ADK

MailerLite holds the key to your marketing performance, and Gemini thrives on massive datasets. Your agent can pull hundreds of records using `list_subscribers` and dump them straight into Gemini's massive token context window. It analyzes active, unsubscribed, and bounced statuses simultaneously without breaking a sweat. Tying this into BigQuery changes how you handle reporting. The agent fetches current metrics via `list_campaigns` and cross-references them against your internal data warehouse. You get instant, deep-dive analytics on why specific cohorts convert.

Automated list hygiene at scale

Enterprise marketing requires ruthless database management. You can instruct your Google ADK agent to identify junk contacts and execute `delete_subscriber` across thousands of stale records. The MCP framework handles the HTTP transport layer while Gemini decides who stays and who goes. Moving users between segments is just as straightforward. When a customer upgrades their tier in your SaaS app, the agent fires `remove_subscriber_from_group` followed by `add_subscriber_to_group`. This keeps your MailerLite targets perfectly synced with your Vertex AI predictions.

Context-aware MCP Server lead capture

Form data often sits isolated from the rest of your cloud infrastructure. By calling `list_forms`, your agent identifies active popups and maps them to specific entry points. It then uses `get_subscriber` to verify if those leads actually translated into confirmed users. Creating new cohorts happens dynamically. If Gemini detects a trending topic in your customer support logs, it triggers `create_group` to spin up a dedicated marketing bucket. It then uses `create_subscriber` to populate that list, requiring nothing more than a valid email address.

Setup guide

Set up MailerLite MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with MailerLite tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="MailerLite_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to MailerLite tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about MailerLite MCP in Google ADK

Wrap your endpoint URL in StreamableHttpServerParameters and pass it to McpToolset. You then attach that toolset to your LlmAgent initialization. This exposes the entire suite of marketing endpoints to Gemini.
You can restrict access using the optional tool_names filter during setup. If you only want the agent to read data, expose `list_campaigns` and `list_segments` while blocking destructive actions like `delete_subscriber`.
The agent easily bridges these two systems. It can pull a specific user profile via `get_subscriber` and immediately query BigQuery to see their purchase history. This allows Gemini to make highly informed segmentation decisions.
The framework supports both Stdio and HTTP transports natively. Cloud deployments typically rely on the HTTP transport to communicate with the hosted endpoint.
Marketing databases contain personally identifiable information like names and email addresses. The hosted MCP environment isolates every single execution in a dedicated sandbox. State disappears the moment the agent finishes its task, preventing accidental cross-contamination of subscriber records.
