How to Use the Microsoft App Store MCP in Cline
Cline uses the Microsoft App Store MCP Server to execute end-to-end store management tasks from your VS Code sidebar.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Microsoft App Store MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Microsoft App Store to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline commands your store submissions
Tell Cline to check if a package is ready, and it will execute `list_submissions` and `get_submission` to find the answer. It handles the API back-and-forth so you don't have to. This keeps your terminal clean. Cline fetches the exact status you need and reports it back, saving you from manual dashboard refreshes.
Deep dive into app metadata
Cline uses `list_applications` to map your store account. When you need specific details, it calls `get_application` to pull the precise configuration data into your workspace. It treats store data like local files. You can ask Cline to compare current app settings against your local repo, and it will use the MCP Server to get the truth.
Inspect flights and add-ons
Need to verify a flight path? Cline runs `list_flights` and `get_flight` to show you exactly what is live. It does the same for `list_addons` and `get_addon` when you need to check secondary assets. Cline doesn't just read these; it can write them into your documentation or build scripts. It treats the store as just another part of your codebase.
