How to Use the Microsoft Clarity MCP in CrewAI
Deploy a specialized crew of autonomous agents to analyze user behavior using Microsoft Clarity and CrewAI.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Microsoft Clarity MCP to CrewAI
Create your Vinkius account to connect Microsoft Clarity to CrewAI and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Autonomous UX monitoring crews
Assign a Researcher agent to monitor `list_top_pages` while an Analyst agent reviews `get_heatmap` data. This division of labor allows your team to cover more ground than a single agent ever could. The agents share a memory space, so the Researcher can pass its findings directly to the Analyst. This keeps the workflow focused on identifying real conversion blockers rather than just gathering raw numbers.
Role-based behavioral analysis
Configure your crew to act based on specific roles. A Moderator agent can filter the output of `list_dead_clicks` to ignore noise, while an Action agent prepares a summary for your backlog. This hierarchical execution prevents the agents from getting stuck in loops. Each member of the crew understands its unique responsibility and uses the specific tools required to reach a conclusion.
Escalation and response teams
Create a loop where agents escalate critical findings to you. If the crew identifies a sudden drop in engagement via `get_scroll_depth`, it can flag the issue for human review immediately. You remain the ultimate decision maker. By defining the scope of the MCP Server tools each agent can use, you ensure the crew stays within its operational boundaries while managing your analytics.
Set up Microsoft Clarity MCP in CrewAI
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
crewaipackage (pip install crewai) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install CrewAI
Run
pip install crewaito install the framework. MCP support is built-in via themcpsparameter. - 2
Add the MCP URL to your agent
Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the
mcpslist. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically. - 3
Kick off your crew
Create a
Crewwith your agent and tasks. Callcrew.kickoff()— the agent will automatically invoke Microsoft Clarity tools as needed.
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew
agent = Agent(
role="Microsoft Clarity Analyst",
goal="Access and analyze Microsoft Clarity data via MCP.",
backstory="Expert analyst with direct Microsoft Clarity access.",
mcps=[
"https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
],
)
task = Task(
description="List recent Microsoft Clarity transactions",
agent=agent,
expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)
crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result) Prerequisites

crewai+crewai-toolspackages - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install dependencies
Run
pip install crewai crewai-tools. TheMCPServerAdapterhandles lifecycle management and tool conversion. - 2
Connect with MCPServerAdapter
Use
MCPServerAdapteras a context manager withSseServerParameterspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. The adapter automatically manages connection lifecycle. - 3
Assign tools and run
Pass the returned
mcp_toolsto your agent'stoolsparameter. The adapter converts MCP tools to nativeBaseToolobjects compatible with all CrewAI agents.
