Connect Milvus (Open-Source Vector Database) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Milvus (Open-Source Vector Database) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline manages your Milvus index metadata
Cline can audit your database state before writing code. Use `list_collections` to grab the current index names and `describe_collection` to inspect the underlying schema. Don't guess the size of your dataset. Use `get_collection_stats` to confirm row counts so Cline knows exactly how much data it is dealing with.
Perform vector similarity tasks in Cline
Enable Cline to run complex similarity lookups by calling `search_vectors`. It accepts your embedding input and returns the most relevant vectors from your collection. If you need to retrieve data based on specific criteria, `query_entities` handles scalar filtering. It allows Cline to narrow down results without manual intervention.
Modify Milvus records via Cline automation
Cline can maintain your collection health automatically. Use `delete_entities` to wipe stale vectors by their primary keys whenever your logic demands it. Need to inspect a specific record? `get_entities` pulls individual entries by ID. It gives Cline the visibility it needs to verify data integrity.
