How to Use the Modal (Serverless AI Infrastructure) MCP in Cline
Cline controls your Modal (Serverless AI Infrastructure) environment to automate resource audits and cleanup tasks.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Modal (Serverless AI Infrastructure) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Modal (Serverless AI Infrastructure) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate resource audits in Cline
Tell Cline to inspect your infrastructure and it will run `list_apps` to generate a report of active work. It saves you from manual checks in the web console. You get a clear list of what is running. If you find an idle process, you can direct Cline to use `stop_app` to terminate it immediately.
Monitor GPU deployments with Cline
Cline uses `list_deployments` to map out your currently active production models. It allows the agent to verify that your GPU resources are assigned correctly. Need to look deeper? Cline calls `get_deployment` to pull the metadata for any specific ID. It handles the request and displays the result right in your chat.
Verify storage volumes
Use `list_volumes` to see which disks are mounted to your serverless tasks. Cline ensures your environment has the required storage connected before it starts a job. It removes the guesswork from your infrastructure setup. You see exactly what is attached and how it is configured.
