Connect Moodle MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Moodle to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-end Moodle task execution
Cline takes your request to fetch data and runs the necessary `get_users` or `get_enrolled_users` queries autonomously. It doesn't just show you the raw JSON; it processes the student list to help you reach your objective. You tell it what you need, and it handles the tool calls. It writes the necessary logic to parse the results, saving you from manual API interaction.
Direct assignment and quiz management
You can ask Cline to list all upcoming tasks using `get_course_assignments` and `get_course_workshops` for a specific course. It formats the data into a readable summary so you can prioritize your workload. It works through the Moodle API to ensure you have the latest information. Cline manages the context so you don't have to keep track of previous tool outputs.
Automated student communications
Cline uses `send_message` to contact students based on data it retrieves from `get_course_grades`. You define the criteria, and the agent identifies the correct recipients and performs the action. This keeps your communication loop tight and fast. Cline handles the technical handshake with the Moodle server while you focus on the content of the message.
