Build PR dashboards with Cline
The `create_report` tool allows your coding agent to spin up new media monitors directly from VS Code. You ask for a dashboard tracking a specific competitor, and Cline writes the component while simultaneously provisioning the backend tracker. It handles the JSON string formatting automatically. Modifying these monitors happens just as fast. If you need to add new keywords to an existing tracker, the agent triggers `update_report`. It adjusts the parameters on the fly, ensuring your custom application always displays the right press hits.
Inject live news data via MCP Server
Fetching press articles requires the `list_stories` tool. Cline calls this endpoint to grab real-world media coverage and injects it straight into the application it is building for you. It writes the API import logic, runs the tests, and shows you the diff. To understand the context of those stories, the agent uses `get_report`. This pulls the specific configuration of the tracker. Cline reads this metadata to populate headers, labels, and context in your custom UI without needing your help.
Manage media monitors autonomously
The `list_reports` tool lets the agent audit your entire Newslit account. It grabs an array of every active news monitor before deciding which ones to hook into your codebase. This gives Cline a complete view of your available media data. When a tracker is no longer needed, the agent cleans up the mess. It fires `delete_report` to remove obsolete monitors from your account. You get a clean environment and a leaner application.
