Analyze History with Google ADK

The `get_noise_measurements` tool pulls historical noise logs for a specific instrument straight into your Gemini model. You get raw decibel data mapped to timestamps. Because Gemini handles massive context windows, your agent can ingest weeks of continuous noise data at once. It reads the whole dataset to spot compliance breaches before you write the results to BigQuery.

Monitor Active Job Sites via MCP

Executing `get_live_noise_data` returns the most recent real-time noise level from your deployed hardware. Your Google Cloud agent gets the exact decibel reading as it happens. Before making that call, the system can run `check_api_status` to ensure the NoiseMeters service is operational. This prevents your enterprise pipelines from failing silently during a live audit.

Map Your Hardware Fleet

Calling `list_noise_instruments` lists all noise monitoring instruments registered in your account. The agent sees every active meter available for querying. You need this when managing multiple industrial sites across different regions. The MCP Server gives your Vertex AI setup the exact hardware IDs required to pull location-specific metrics.

Setup guide

Set up NoiseMeters API MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with NoiseMeters API tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="NoiseMeters API_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to NoiseMeters API tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about NoiseMeters API MCP in Google ADK

Install google-adk and set up a McpToolset using your HTTP endpoint URL. Pass that toolset directly to your LlmAgent initialization.
Yes. The McpToolset allows you to apply a tool_names filter. You could expose only the live data tool while hiding the historical query function.
It handles it easily. You can pull massive logs using the historical tool and feed them all into the context window. Gemini will read the entire timeline to find specific noise spikes.
Vinkius provides an HTTP endpoint. Google ADK supports this natively through the StreamableHttpServerParameters configuration.
The integration only touches decibel levels, timestamps, and your registered instrument IDs. Vinkius requires a single endpoint token for authentication, keeping your enterprise credentials out of the agent's prompt history.
