Key Capabilities
Write a Function to Track Order Status.
Need to build a component that shows real-time tracking? Use the `get_tracking_progress` tool inside your script. You pass it an order ID, and your code gets immediate updates for the delivery status. You can wrap this in an async function. This makes sure your app handles network failures gracefully when pulling data from Shipday.
Develop Order Management Scripts.
If you're writing a maintenance script, use `list_active_orders` to get all current deliveries. Then, loop through the result and call `get_order` for every single one. This lets your code check every order’s details without manual intervention. This is perfect for bulk operations. Your code can then decide if it needs to run `update_order_status` on specific records based on criteria you set.
Build Driver Assignment Logic.
Want a utility that assigns drivers? Call the `assign_driver` tool directly in your backend code. You pass it an order ID, and the API handles the complex matching logic for you. You can combine this with `list_drivers` to build a UI component that shows available capacity before running the assignment function. It's clean, typed code.
