Automated Dispatch Coordination

Instead of one script doing everything, let specialized agents handle the dispatch. Agent A can use `list_drivers` to research available staff. Then, Agent B takes that list and calls `assign_driver` to execute the assignment. This role-based approach allows you to manage complex operational handoffs without human intervention.

Active Order Monitoring

You can set up a monitoring agent dedicated entirely to checking status. This agent runs in a loop, calling `get_tracking_progress` for all orders in `list_active_orders`. Complete Order Setup Workflow

Need to onboard a brand new job? One agent handles intake. It uses `create_order` with customer and restaurant details. A second specialized agent then takes the resulting order number and calls `get_order` immediately afterwards for confirmation. Set up Shipday MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke Shipday tools as needed.
