List all projects and organizations.

Need to scope your localization work? You can use `list_organizations` to see every organization you belong to. Then, run `list_projects`, optionally filtering by a specific organization ID, to get a list of relevant Transifex projects. This lets your AI agent narrow down the search space before pulling any actual resource data. It's perfect for PMs who need an overview of where the content lives without touching a console.

Get specific project or resource details.

The `get_project` tool pulls full details about one Transifex project using its slug. Similarly, if you know what you're looking for, `get_resource` grabs a specific record using the organization and project IDs. This capability lets your agent act like an API client, pulling down granular data points when the context is already set.

Retrieve source text strings.

If you just need to see what text needs translating, `list_resource_strings` works for it. You must provide a resource ID first, but that’s how it's built. It quickly lists the source strings (the original content) associated with a specific Transifex resource, saving you from manual lookups.

Common questions about Transifex MCP in Claude Desktop

You'll add the server details in your local configuration file (`claude_desktop_config.json`). The agent handles the connection, so you just need to ensure your path is correct for stdio transport.
Yep. Your AI client can use tools like `list_languages` and `get_language` to pull live language lists or specific locale details right into the chat, without leaving the desktop app.
Yes. You use the `list_resource_strings` tool. It requires you to specify a resource ID first, but it gives you a clean list of source strings for your agent.
It touches project metadata and translatable content strings (source strings). This includes organizational slugs, resource IDs, and the text itself.
The tool requires specific identifiers—like organization slugs or resource slugs—to function. You can't just ask for 'all projects'; you need to guide the agent on how to scope the request.
