Calculate complex truck routes using the Trimble MCP Server.
When you need a multi-stop plan that respects vehicle limits, use `calculate_truck_route`. This tool gives you the total distance, estimated time, and routing polyline for a compliant commercial trip. You can refine this planning further. For instance, if your route must avoid certain expressways, just call `route_avoiding_roads` to get an alternate path that works.
Plan multi-stop trips and analyze state mileage.
Need to know the total driving time between ten different sites? Run `calculate_matrix_routing`. It delivers distances and travel times for every combination of origins and destinations. Beyond just distance, you can track tax liabilities using `calculate_state_mileage`. This function breaks down the trip mileage by specific US states or provinces.
Get commercial directions that respect vehicle size.
The core function, `get_truck_directions`, pulls turn-by-turn instructions for a truck while checking things like HazMat status, weight limits, and bridge heights. It ensures the plan is physically possible. You can also specify your equipment using `route_by_vehicle_size`. This method calculates an appropriate route based on specific vehicle dimensions (height in inches or weight in lbs).
