Use the Truto Unified Calendar MCP Server for Team Scheduling
The `get_free_busy` tool allows your entire engineering team to check availability simply by providing a calendar ID and time range. This is crucial when scheduling meetings that involve multiple people across different providers. Copilot Chat can use this data point immediately to suggest the best times for sprint planning or design reviews.
Manage Calendar Resources with the MCP Server
Need to know what events are on a calendar? Use `list_events` by giving the calendar ID. The resulting list shows titles, attendees, and locations in one consistent format that all team members can see. If you need to change an event, Copilot Chat uses `update_event`, allowing changes to pass through real-time to the underlying provider.
Write Code That Schedules Events Automatically
Your code needs to create a meeting? The `create_event` tool lets your agent fill out the event details, including the calendar ID and start/end times. This function call executes and writes through to Google or Outlook. If an event needs to be canceled, using `delete_event` removes it instantly from all linked sources.
