Develop new content components via the MCP Server.

Need to build a dashboard that pulls site data? Use `get_rendered_page` to pull a structured view of a page, then write code that consumes that structure. You can also use `list_backend_records` to gather necessary context before writing your component logic.

Control content creation and deletion.

The `create_cms_entity` tool lets you programmatically generate new TYPO3 Extbase entities, which is perfect for scaffolding. Conversely, if a record needs to vanish, `delete_cms_entity` permanently removes the data.

Sync and update complex records.

You modify existing content using `update_cms_entity`. Just supply the entity name, ID, and your JSON payload. This makes it easy to write code that keeps backend fields consistent with live data sources.

Common questions about TYPO3 CMS MCP in Cline

Start by running `get_initial_boot`. This tool pulls the global configuration and root page schema, giving you a solid foundation for your component build. You can then write code based on that data structure.
Yes, use `list_backend_records`. By specifying the entity name and parameters, you pull a full list of records for any given backend area. It's perfect for writing scripts that audit content.
The `get_rendered_page` tool provides a structured representation of rendered pages, making it ideal for your code. You can pass either a numeric ID or a canonical path.
You'll rely on `update_cms_entity`. This tool requires the entity name, record ID, and your JSON updates. It keeps your code clean because you only pass the data that actually needs changing.
This server handles core content elements. The primary data type is the `Entity Name` and specific `Record IDs`, covering all structured backend information in your CMS.
