Cline: Enterprise Semantic Search
Perform a search query across your documents using `search_documents`. You only need to feed it the data store ID and the text you want to search for. Cline executes this action, treating the result as a variable for subsequent steps. It's much better than just running basic keyword searches because it uses semantic grounding, meaning it understands context, not just matching words.
MCP Server: Discovering Data Sources
Before writing code that needs data, use `list_data_stores` to get a full list of available sources. This allows Cline to verify the scope and IDs needed for your scripts. Similarly, `get_datastore_details` lets you check the configuration metadata before committing to an API call.
Cline: Generating Grounded Code Answers
The `get_grounded_answer` tool returns a natural language response that is specifically tied back to your private data. When Cline needs context for a function, it calls this tool. You get the answer *and* the citations, which is critical when writing production-grade code or documentation.
