Vector Search for Code Generation via Cline

Need to build a component based on live data? Run `search_near_vector` against your Weaviate database. Cline takes the resulting vector data and can use it to write code, like fetching object details using `get_object_details`. It makes writing tests straightforward.

Mapping Schema Structures with Cline MCP Server

Before you commit a single line of API integration code, check the structure. You can call `get_full_schema` to map every collection available. Then use `get_class_schema` if your component only needs to interact with one specific dataset.

Checking Cluster Health via Cline

Writing robust code means anticipating failure points. Use `get_cluster_nodes` to check the live status of all Weaviate cluster nodes. This lets you validate that your environment is ready for production deployment.

Common questions about Weaviate MCP in Cline

You trigger the search using `search_near_vector` by passing the class name and a JSON array of floats. Cline gets the result, which you can then use to generate code that processes those vectors.
Yes, `list_objects` handles basic pagination via limit. You just specify the class name, and Cline pulls a manageable batch of objects so you can test your data handlers.
Cline gives you access to `get_instance_metadata` for high-level system info, and also allows you to fetch specific object details using `get_object_details` by UUID.
You have `get_full_schema` for everything, or you can narrow it down to a single collection's definition using `get_class_schema`. This helps your component target the exact data structure it needs.
The server deals with schema definitions, object UUIDs, and vector data. The `get_object_details` tool retrieves metadata about the record associated with a given UUID.
