Validate user and order consistency

You can set up a debate between two agents. One agent calls `list_site_users` to check who is registered, while another uses `list_ecommerce_orders`. They then negotiate whether the accounts listed have corresponding purchase history. This consensus mechanism ensures that all data points are cross-referenced and verified.

Verify site setup prerequisites

An agent pair can validate a build. One calls `list_cms_collections` to check the required content types, and another calls `get_site_details` to verify if those collections are actually enabled on the target Webflow site. The debate resolves whether the site is ready for launch based on conflicting status checks.

Audit asset dependencies across sites

An agent can check `list_sites` first, then pass the resulting list to two specialized agents. One agent uses `list_site_assets` while the other tries to validate if those assets are used in specific CMS collections via `list_collection_items`. The final decision is a comprehensive report on asset dependency risks across all your domains.

Setup guide

Set up Webflow MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Webflow tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Webflow_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Webflow data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Webflow MCP in AutoGen

It doesn't just return an error. It simulates multiple viewpoints—like 'security risk' vs 'performance requirement'—forcing the system to argue until a consensus decision on the data is reached.
Yes. You can have one agent check `list_ecommerce_orders` while another verifies if site users (`list_site_users`) match the order shipping addresses, forcing a decision on fulfillment readiness.
The process starts with an ambiguous goal. The agents debate which tools to call (`list_sites`, `get_site_details`) and in what order, ensuring every necessary piece of information is collected before a final conclusion.
It's limited by the complexity of the debate you set up. The more perspectives needed to solve the problem, the better it works.
The server touches site user accounts (`list_site_users`), e-commerce order details, and CMS collection metadata.
