Drafting Content for Teams

The `create_wordpress_draft` tool lets your team's agents save content to WordPress Draft posts. Because it's committed to the repository, every developer instantly has access to this critical workflow. It ensures that generated marketing or technical copy is captured safely as drafts.

Shared MCP Server Configuration

You configure the entire MCP Server via a shared `.vscode/mcp.json` file committed to Git. This means every developer on your team uses the exact same tool endpoints. It’s enterprise-grade setup: consistent, auditable, and fully manageable.

Content Management with MCP Server

Your agent client calls `create_wordpress_draft` using the title and content. The system ensures the post status is always 'Draft,' preventing accidental publication. The tool only writes to WordPress, never modifying existing live posts.

Setup guide

Set up WordPress Post Drafter MCP in VS Code Copilot

Prerequisites

  • VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and run "MCP: Add Server". Select HTTP (Streamable) as the server type. VS Code will create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.

  2. 2

Add the WordPress Post Drafter MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into your .vscode/mcp.json. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Switch to Agent mode

Open Copilot Chat (Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode — they do not appear in Edit or Ask modes.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

In the Copilot Chat input, type # to list available tools. You should see the WordPress Post Drafter tools listed. Try asking: "List my recent WordPress Post Drafter transactions" and Copilot will invoke them automatically.
