Timezone Awareness for Cline
If your dashboard needs to display live data from different global offices, the `get_current_time` tool is what you need. Just tell it a timezone string—say, 'America/Sao_Paulo'—and Cline runs it. It returns the exact atomic time plus the UTC offset and DST status, letting your code build accurate components across multiple time zones.
Checking Time Zones in Cline
Before you hardcode a zone name, check if it's valid using `list_available_timezones`. This tool provides the definitive list of all regions supported by World Time API. You can use this data to validate inputs before running any code. This saves your end-to-end task execution from failing due to simple typos in a zone name.
Using World Time (Keyless) with Cline
Cline can execute complex tasks that rely on global time context. You can write code that pulls the current time, verifies it against a list of zones, and then stages a commit documenting when that process ran. The MCP Server handles the timing data. This moves beyond simple API calls; you're building robust, cross-geographical systems right inside your development flow.
