Write and Modify Data Records

Start by calling `get_form_fields` to understand the structure of a form. Then, use that knowledge to write code that calls `add_record` or `update_record`. You can build full components based on these API interactions.

List and Analyze App Structure

Need an inventory? Cline lets you run commands like `list_applications` to see every app in your Zoho Creator setup. It also reveals all available reports by calling `list_app_reports`, which is perfect for generating data models.

Retrieve and Manipulate App Data

Cline executes code that calls `get_record_details` to pull a single record's information. Alternatively, you can fetch batches of records from reports using `get_report_records`, letting you write complex data processing logic right in your environment.

Common questions about Zoho Creator MCP in Cline

Cline treats the MCP Server like a native library. You can execute code that calls `get_record_details` or `list_app_forms`, pulling live data directly into your workspace for immediate use in components.
Yes. You can write the necessary API calls—like creating records via `add_record`—and then wrap that logic in a testable component or function within your IDE.
Yep. You can write code to call `update_record`, which modifies an established record. Or, if the data is obsolete, you can use `delete_record`.
You run a function that calls `get_api_status`. This verifies the live connectivity of your MCP Server to the Zoho Creator instance before you attempt any large-scale data operation.
The server manages record structures, app metadata (`get_app_metadata`), and form definitions. All the core structural elements of your Zoho Creator apps are available for code interaction.
