Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect zrok (Open-Source Tunnel) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect zrok (Open-Source Tunnel) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write Code Using Live Tunnel Context
The AI agent can call tools to expose a local service, then use that real data directly in the code you're writing. For example, it retrieves account status via `get_account` and injects those specific limits into your function. This means your generated code isn't using mock stubs; it uses live context from the MCP Server.
Set Up Tools Project-Wide
You configure the server in `.cursor/mcp.json` within the project root, making the tools available to every agent session on that repo. The AI client recognizes this setup immediately when you enable Agent mode. This centralized approach means everyone working on the codebase has consistent access to tunnels and shares.
Monitor Tunnels While Coding
When a service is running, use `list_shares` or `get_share` to confirm it's up. If you need to shut down a resource mid-session, calling `delete_share` cleans things up instantly. This keeps your development environment clean and lets the AI agent know when services are available to call.
