Build Code Using Live Consumers

`list_consumers` lets the AI get a list of active API key consumers. You can then write code that uses these IDs to validate access credentials. Instead of using mock data, your agent generates working calls that reference real consumer data from Zuplo.

Manage Deployments in Code Context

Use `list_deployments` so the AI knows which API gateway deployments exist. You can write conditional logic that only targets a specific, proven deployment ID. This keeps your code accurate because it pulls live status information before you even run it.

Get Project Environment Variables

`list_environments` retrieves the current state (dev, staging, production) for a given Zuplo project. The AI uses this to decide which API endpoint to call. This prevents you from accidentally hitting production code when you meant to test locally.

Setup guide

Set up Zuplo MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the Zuplo MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent Zuplo transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the Zuplo tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.

Common questions about Zuplo MCP in Cursor

Simply tell the agent to run `list_projects`. It pulls the full list, allowing your code to iterate over all available API gateways.
Yes. The agent can call `create_consumer` and immediately inject the resulting key into your script. This keeps your credentials fresh and usable.
You use `list_deployments`. The AI reads the live list, letting you write code that handles multiple potential versions of an API gateway.
If you need to check available environments, use `list_environments`. This gives your agent a definitive list so it doesn't guess which environment variable to use.
This server handles project metadata, including deployment names and consumer IDs. It provides contextual information that your agent uses directly when writing code.
