  Is this MCP safe to use with AWS?

  Yes. This MCP is designed for absolute containment. It only allows publishing to one specific SNS Topic, meaning the AI agent cannot access or modify any other AWS services or topics.

  What kind of data can I send?

  You can send plain text messages or structured JSON payloads. The capability supports advanced message attributes, giving you control over the data structure.

  Does this MCP handle the subscriptions?

  No. This MCP only publishes the message. The actual services that receive and act on the message must already be subscribed to the topic within your AWS environment.

  Can I change the topic this MCP publishes to?

  No. The MCP is hard-scoped to one specific Amazon SNS Topic. You cannot change the target topic through this connector.

  Why limit the agent to a single topic?

  To enforce zero-trust security. An autonomous agent shouldn't have the power to spam or accidentally publish alerts to unrelated corporate topics (like incident response channels).

  Can this capability read messages?

  No. SNS is a pub/sub system designed for sending outward notifications. If you need the agent to read messages, use the Amazon SQS Queue MCP.

  What happens to the published messages?

  The message is immediately fanned out by AWS to all endpoints subscribed to the configured Topic ARN (e.g. Lambda functions, SQS queues, SMS, email).
