Airtable scripting with Claude Code

Pipe your database output into shell scripts using `list_airtable_records`. This lets you feed live records into your CI/CD pipelines without manual exports. Need to inject data? `create_airtable_records` accepts your JSON input to populate bases from the command line.

Automated schema management

Claude Code uses `get_airtable_base_schema` to verify your environment before running migrations. It checks the fields so your scripts don't fail on bad data. It also supports `get_airtable_record` for specific lookups. Use this to grab single entries for your logging or verification tasks.

Set up Airtable MCP in Claude Code

Prerequisites

Claude Code CLI installed (npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code)
Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

Run the add command

Open your terminal and run the command shown on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com. Use --scope user to make it available across all projects.

Verify the connection

Start a Claude Code session and type /mcp to list connected servers. You should see airtable-alternative-mcp with a green status indicator.

Start using tools

Ask Claude Code something like "Check my latest Airtable transactions." It will automatically discover and invoke the available Airtable tools.

Open the config file

Create or edit .mcp.json in your project root for project-level scope, or ~/.claude.json for user-level scope.

Add the Airtable MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

Restart Claude Code

Start a new Claude Code session. Type /mcp to confirm the server is connected. The tools will be automatically available in your conversation.
