Key Capabilities

Update BasicOps tasks directly from your terminal

Stop leaving your terminal to update BasicOps project tickets. Run Claude Code and let it execute `update_task` right after you push a hotfix, keeping your tracking board in sync with your git history. It queries `get_task` to pull down acceptance criteria, letting you verify requirements from the command line. This ensures you never have to open a browser to check off a ticket.

Automate project setups via Claude Code scripts

You can pipe CLI outputs straight into your BasicOps project management. Use Claude Code in your deployment scripts to trigger `create_project` and establish a clean workspace for every new release branch. The agent can automatically run `create_task` to assign post-deployment checks to your engineering team. This makes handoffs entirely hands-off within your terminal workflow.

Monitor BasicOps webhooks and team directories

Keep tabs on your integration health without loading heavy BasicOps web pages. Claude Code runs `list_webhooks` to verify that your deployment alerts are pointing to the correct endpoints. It can also run `list_team_users` to map out active on-call engineers. This ensures automated incident tasks are routed to the right person instantly through the terminal.
