Key Capabilities

Command-Line Chess Analytics

Turn your terminal into a chess database console. Claude Code uses `get_player_stats` to quickly fetch rapid, blitz, and bullet ratings without opening a browser. You can pipe the output of `get_player_profile` to local shell scripts or save it to text files. It is the fastest way to audit a player's standing on the fly.

Scriptable Puzzle Downloader MCP Server

Automate your daily chess study from the CLI. Claude Code invokes `get_daily_chess_puzzle` to print the daily problem's FEN string directly to your terminal. For bulk practice, the terminal agent uses `get_random_chess_puzzle` to fetch multiple positions. You can easily script this to run as a cron job or startup script.

Bulk Game Archive Exports

Download thousands of historical matches with single terminal commands. The agent queries `get_player_game_archives` to locate available months, then pulls the PGNs using `get_player_monthly_games`. This setup bypasses manual browser downloads. You get raw chess data saved straight to your local directory, ready for engine analysis or database import.
