Key Capabilities
Code with real Piwik PRO MCP Server data
The `query_piwik_analytics` tool allows Cursor's Agent mode to fetch actual visitor metrics while you write code. Instead of mocking up a chart component with fake numbers, the editor pulls yesterday's traffic data. You see exactly how the JSON response is structured before you write the parsing logic. This eliminates the usual trial and error of API integration. The AI builds your frontend components based on the exact schema returned by your live tracking instance.
Validate conversion events mid-development
When implementing new tracking tags, Cursor uses `list_piwik_goals` to verify the exact ID and structure required. You don't need to switch windows to check the admin panel. The editor knows what goals exist for the target app. It crosses this information with `list_piwik_apps` to ensure you are sending the event to the correct environment. Your tracking code is correct on the first compile.
Audit your tracking properties
Cursor pulls your entire property list via `list_piwik_sites` and `list_piwik_dashboards`. If you are migrating domains or consolidating reporting, the AI has the full context of your current setup. You can even check who owns what using `list_piwik_users`. This helps when generating internal documentation or updating access control scripts directly in your repository.
