Key Capabilities

Automate transcript extraction in the terminal

You can now pull your meeting data without leaving the shell. Run a command that calls `get_transcript` to pipe the text directly into a local file for further analysis. It’s perfect for generating status reports or extracting technical requirements for your next sprint. Just pass the file ID to the tool and capture the output.

Batch manage your recordings via CLI

Clean up your account using shell scripts. You can use `list_files` to identify old recordings and pipe the IDs into `delete_file` for a quick bulk cleanup. This is much faster than clicking through a web interface. You stay in control of your data storage directly from your terminal session.

Integrate meeting summaries into your dev flow

Your CI/CD pipelines can now reference meeting discussions. By using `get_summary`, you can pull the latest project decisions and inject them into your logs or build artifacts. It turns your meeting notes into actionable data for your infrastructure. You define the logic, and the server handles the data retrieval.

Common questions about Plaud MCP in Claude Code

Use the command `claude mcp add --transport http -- ` in your terminal. Ensure your API key is set in your environment variables before you start.
The server uses standard authentication headers to secure the connection. Your transcript data is processed in memory and never written to disk by the server itself.
Yes. You just need to pass your API key as an environment variable to the container. The server will handle the rest via the standard transport.
Run `claude mcp call list_folders` and the server will return the JSON response of your folder structure. You can then pipe this into `jq` for filtering.
The server only touches your account metadata and recording content. It uses ephemeral sessions to fetch transcripts, ensuring no sensitive data is stored in your shell history.
