Key Capabilities

Submit URL batches from Claude Desktop

The `submit_project` tool sends your raw URL lists directly from your chat window to the indexing queue. You paste a list of new blog posts or documentation updates, and your AI client structures the API payload to launch the run. Before running a batch, the server checks your limits using `get_credit_balance`. Each URL in Apex mode costs exactly 3 credits and includes up to 3 indexing attempts, keeping your budget transparent before you commit.

Track indexing runs in your Claude Desktop workspace

The `get_project_status` tool queries the current indexing progress of any active submission. Your agent reads the raw API response to tell you exactly how many URLs Google has processed without making you open a browser tab. If you need a broader view, `list_projects` displays your entire history of indexing jobs. You get a clean list of past batches directly in your chat sidebar, making it easy to spot which runs finished and which need attention.

Pull complete indexing reports with this MCP Server

The `get_project_report` tool downloads the final indexing status for every single URL in a completed run. If the report isn't ready yet, the server returns a 425 Too Early status code so your agent knows to wait before trying again. This MCP Server integration allows you to save these reports locally when using the desktop app, or view them as interactive UI cards inside the browser version of Claude. You get hard proof of which URLs made it into the index.

Common questions about Rapid URL Indexer MCP in Claude Desktop

Open your `claude_desktop_config.json` file and add the MCP server definition under the `mcpServers` key. Once you save the file and restart Claude, the indexing tools will show up under the hammer icon in your chat window.
Yes. You connect this MCP Server by pasting its remote HTTPS URL into the Integrations menu under your Claude account settings. This remote setup lets you submit URLs and check index status from any browser.
This happens when you call `get_project_report` before Google finishes processing your URLs. The server uses the 425 Too Early status to tell Claude to wait and check back later.
Apex mode costs 3 credits per URL. This charge covers up to 3 separate indexing attempts to make sure Google processes your pages.
Your URLs and indexing reports travel through a secure V8 sandbox that isolates your data. The server does not store your Google Search Console credentials, and all project records are handled via ephemeral sessions that wipe clean after execution.
