Key Capabilities
Automate embedding pipelines inside Cline
The `upsert_vector` tool updates or inserts vectors directly into your Redis hashes. Cline uses this tool to populate your database when writing integration tests for your search backend. You don't have to write custom seeding scripts. Cline runs the tool, checks the database state, and continues writing your application logic.
Instant index validation using this MCP Server
The `get_index_info` tool retrieves schema details and document counts for any RediSearch index. Cline calls this to verify your index configuration matches the output dimensions of your embedding model. When Cline detects a mismatch, it runs `list_indexes` to find the correct target. This prevents runtime errors before Cline even writes your first database query.
End-to-end search testing with Cline
The `search_vectors` tool executes KNN similarity searches using a JSON array of floats. Cline uses this tool to run live queries and verify that your search interface returns the expected documents. If the search results are empty, Cline runs `delete_vector` to clear corrupt test data. It then rebuilds the index and re-runs the test suite automatically.
