Key Capabilities

Create B2B VAT invoices for the team

Team members can automatically generate ZATCA-compliant B2B invoices. The `create_vat_invoice` tool handles all necessary tax math and QR code embedding. This capability lives in your shared `.vscode/mcp.json`, so every developer uses the same, validated financial logic.

Manage client data via team config

Need to onboard a new customer? The `create_client` tool handles it. Because this is configured in the repo, everyone on the team has immediate access. You can also use `list_clients` to validate if a client exists before running any transaction code.

Get and update billing records

Fetching specific data is easy. Use `get_client` or `get_invoice` to pull necessary details by ID. This is better than hardcoding values. If a client changes their address, just run `update_client`. The change is committed and available globally.

Setup guide

Set up Simple Fatoora MCP in VS Code Copilot

Prerequisites

  • VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and run "MCP: Add Server". Select HTTP (Streamable) as the server type. VS Code will create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.

  2. 2

    Add the Simple Fatoora MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into your .vscode/mcp.json. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Switch to Agent mode

Open Copilot Chat (Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode — they do not appear in Edit or Ask modes.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

In the Copilot Chat input, type # to list available tools. You should see the Simple Fatoora tools listed. Try asking: "List my recent Simple Fatoora transactions" and Copilot will invoke them automatically.
