Key Capabilities

Search Titles with the MCP Server

The `search_titles` tool finds movies and shows by name. In Agent mode, the AI calls this tool and injects live streaming data directly into your code block. You get real API responses—not stubs—showing where a title is streamable. This means you can build working functions that depend on current content availability across 200+ platforms.

Get Complete Streaming Details

Use `get_title_details` to pull full metadata for a title and include it in your code's documentation. The tool provides the scope of streaming sources, giving you robust data points about licensing and format. This is ideal when writing functions that need detailed context on why or how something streams.

List All Available Sources

The `get_title_sources` tool lists every streaming source for a given title. You can incorporate this into your code to build complex lookup tables, mapping out all the places where content is available. It's better than just using static data because it accounts for current regional rights.

Common questions about Watchmode Streaming Availability MCP in Cursor

Cursor uses the MCP Server to run availability checks while you code. Instead of mocking the results, the AI calls `search_titles` and injects live data—like Netflix or Disney+ listings—straight into your working code.
Yes. You can use `list_sources` to populate a reference map in your codebase. This is helpful if you're building an application that needs to know every possible content provider in a given region.
It does, and it’s crucial for accurate code. The server accepts country filters, allowing you to write functions that only check availability within specific geographic boundaries.
This server handles content metadata: titles, genres, cast details (`get_title_cast`), and streaming source information. All the API responses you write code against are live streaming data.
Activate Agent mode in your chat. You can prompt it to search for a title, and instead of just seeing the answer, you'll see the tool call execute and return live streaming availability data directly into your project context.
