How to Use the 2Chat MCP in Cline
Cline builds WhatsApp features inside VS Code. Let your agent write the code and test the 2Chat API endpoints for you.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect 2Chat MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect 2Chat to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Direct Messaging Through the MCP Server
The `send_message` tool fires text and public media URLs to individual contacts or group UUIDs. Cline writes the integration code, pulls live data, and triggers the send to prove it works. You tell your agent to build a notification system. It uses `list_numbers` to find your connected sender accounts and wires up the outbound logic immediately.
Programmatic WhatsApp Groups
The `create_group` tool builds active chat rooms with specific participants. Cline can read a list of users from your database file and spin up the group right from the editor. Tracking those rooms is just as easy with these MCP tools. Your agent executes `list_groups` to map out where your connected numbers belong, pulling the UUIDs needed for future messages.
Number Validation Before Sending
The `check_number` tool hits the WhatsApp registry to see if a phone number is valid. Cline implements this check into your app's signup flow to stop failed deliveries. Bouncing messages cause headaches. By validating the contact first, your agent ensures your notification pipeline stays clean and functional.
