Full-Stack Civic Record Engineering
The `create_record` tool allows Cline to spin up new permit applications and file structures directly from your code editor. Your agent inspects your local schema, maps the JSON payload, and writes the integration scripts to insert records into the municipal system. If Cline detects a validation error, it uses `get_record` to pull the live schema. It then rewrites the local parser and runs tests to ensure future submissions pass municipal validation.
Automated Inspection Management in Cline
The `list_inspections` tool retrieves all scheduled and completed field reviews for any active permit. Cline uses this data to build status dashboards, write custom reporting scripts, or trigger alerts for failed inspections. When a status changes, Cline executes `update_inspection` to record the new grade. It then updates the master file via `update_record` to keep your internal database perfectly synchronized with local inspectors.
Context-Aware Address and Contact Verification
The `search_addresses` tool validates geographic locations against official municipal databases inside your VS Code workspace. Cline calls this tool to sanitize user input before saving contact or property details. To clean up duplicate profiles, the agent runs `search_contacts` to find existing contractor records. It then links the correct entity to the permit using `create_contact`, preventing database bloat.
