Feed Accela permit history to Gemini via Google ADK

This Accela MCP Server exposes 13 municipal tools directly to your Gemini enterprise agents. Your agent runs `search_records` to pull years of municipal history and passes it straight into Gemini's million-token context window. This lets the model analyze complex zoning trends without hitting memory limits. Connecting this to your BigQuery warehouse allows the agent to cross-reference offline tax data with live permits. The agent can query parcel details using `get_parcels` and update the master record using `update_record` based on its analysis.

Manage field inspections with Google ADK agents

This Accela MCP Server manages field scheduling logistics directly inside your Google Cloud environment. Your agent executes `list_inspections` to check inspector availability and runs `schedule_inspection` to book appointments. If field conditions change, it updates status codes using `update_inspection`. You can restrict which tools are visible to specific agents using the `tool_names` filter in the ADK toolset. This prevents a customer-facing agent from modifying inspection results while still allowing it to check scheduling status.

Automate civic contact creation and address verification

This Accela MCP Server automates civic contact registration and property search. Your agent runs `search_addresses` to check property locations before creating any application. If a contractor is missing, it runs `create_contact` to populate the database with correct details. Your agent can also check existing records with `search_contacts` to prevent duplicate profile creation. When developers submit plans, the agent uses `upload_document` to attach blueprints to the newly created contact profile.

Setup guide

Set up Accela MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Accela tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Accela_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Accela tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Accela MCP in Google ADK

Install `google-adk` and initialize the `McpToolset` with your Vinkius HTTP endpoint. Pass this toolset directly into your `LlmAgent` constructor. The Gemini model will automatically detect tools like `get_record` and `schedule_inspection`.
Yes, your agent can run `list_documents` to find files associated with a permit. It can then pull those documents and use Gemini's multimodal capabilities to analyze floor plans or structural engineering reports.
You can configure the toolset to limit concurrent calls when running heavy search operations like `search_records`. This prevents your Gemini agent from overloading the municipal API during peak hours.
Yes, the `McpToolset` constructor supports an optional filter to limit exposed tools. You can expose only `get_parcels` and `search_addresses` to read-only agents while hiding write operations.
Vinkius executes every tool call inside a zero-trust, ephemeral sandbox. Your Google ADK agent connects using a single secure token, meaning raw database credentials for parcel and inspection records are never exposed.
