…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect AcoustID MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect AcoustID to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write music-tagging code with live AcoustID data
Your Cursor agent uses `lookup_by_fingerprint` to pull real song titles and artist names straight into the active file you are editing. This means you can test your parsing logic against live AcoustID API payloads. Your agent writes the code, executes it, and verifies the response structure using actual audio fingerprints from your project files.
Map audio catalogs using this Cursor MCP Server
When you need to link your media library to MusicBrainz, the Cursor agent uses `search_by_recording` to find matching IDs. It scans your local codebase for track variables, queries the database, and injects the correct AcoustID values directly into your arrays. To ensure accuracy, the agent runs `get_recording_metadata` to fetch release groups.
Track down duplicate audio files in your codebase
To clean up duplicate audio files, your Cursor agent uses `search_by_mbid` to find all AcoustID fingerprints associated with a single MusicBrainz ID. By comparing these fingerprints, the editor detects alternate encodes or duplicate uploads. It then writes a cleanup script tailored to your directory structure, using real database matches as the source of truth.
