Connect BigQuery Insights to CRM Actions

This is for when your customer data lives in BigQuery but your marketing happens in ActiveCampaign. Your Gemini agent can analyze a customer segment in BigQuery, then use this toolset to act on it. It can pull a corresponding record with `list_contacts` and then tag it. For example, find all users in BigQuery who haven't logged in for 30 days. Then, have the agent use the `add_tag_to_contact` tool on each one in ActiveCampaign to kick off a re-engagement campaign. You're bridging your data warehouse and your marketing tool.

Use Long Context to Manage Your Sales Pipeline

Gemini's huge context window changes how agents work with sales data. Your agent can hold an entire year's worth of email threads in its context, identify a new opportunity, and then use the `list_deals` tool to see if a deal already exists in ActiveCampaign. If not, it can create a new user with `create_contact` and flag it for a sales rep. The agent isn't just reacting; it's using deep context to understand the full history of a customer relationship before it touches your CRM.

Build Google Cloud-Native Automations

Run your CRM automation inside your Google Cloud project. You can trigger a Cloud Function when a new lead comes in, which then invokes a Gemini agent. That agent uses this MCP Server to run `create_contact` and `add_contact_to_list` in ActiveCampaign. The entire operation stays within the Google ecosystem you already trust. This MCP toolset is the bridge that gives your cloud-native agent access to your marketing platform without complex, custom API integrations.

Setup guide

Set up ActiveCampaign MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with ActiveCampaign tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="ActiveCampaign_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to ActiveCampaign tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about ActiveCampaign MCP in Google ADK

You'll instantiate an `McpToolset` in your Python code, passing it the Vinkius server URL. Then you give that toolset to your `LlmAgent` constructor. The agent will then have access to all the ActiveCampaign tools.
Yes, that's a primary use case. Your Gemini agent can call `list_contacts` from the ActiveCampaign toolset and then use the BigQuery client library to insert or update records in your table. It's a straightforward agent-driven ETL process.
Absolutely. The Google ADK is designed for Gemini models. You can use Gemini 1.5 Pro's long context to analyze large amounts of data before deciding which ActiveCampaign tool to call, like `add_tag_to_contact`.
Yes. When you create the `McpToolset`, you can pass a `tool_names` filter to expose only specific ActiveCampaign tools. This is a good way to build agents with very specific, limited permissions.
The server processes ActiveCampaign contact data (names, emails) and sales deal information. Vinkius runs each MCP Server in a dedicated V8 Isolate, which is a lightweight, secure sandbox. Your data is only processed for the duration of the request and is not stored.
