Build Components with Live Analytics Data

The `get_report` tool lets Cline fetch live Adobe Analytics data directly into your project. Ask it to build a component that displays top pages, and it will call the tool, get the JSON data, and write the front-end code to render it. Cline handles the entire workflow. It can `list_report_suites` to find the correct data source, `get_report` to fetch user stats, and then generate the actual React or Vue component file. You just review the diff.

Automate Analytics Setup for Cline

Use the `list_report_suites`, `get_dimensions`, and `get_metrics` tools to script your analytics configuration. Cline can write helper functions or config files based on what's actually available in your Adobe Analytics account. For example, tell Cline: 'Create a TypeScript enum with all available metrics for the main production suite.' It will use the `get_metrics` tool and generate the file for you. This MCP Server makes your agent aware of your data structure.

Write Code Based on Audience Segments

The `list_segments` tool gives Cline insight into your user audiences. You can instruct it to create custom logic or components tailored to specific segments. Ask Cline to 'scaffold an A/B test for the High-Value Customers segment.' It will first call `list_segments` to confirm the segment exists and get its ID, then write the necessary feature flag or conditional rendering logic in your application code.

Common questions about Adobe Analytics MCP in Cline

You just ask it to. Cline uses the `get_report` tool from the Adobe Analytics MCP Server to fetch live data, then writes the JSX, state management, and styling for the component right in your editor.
Yes. Tell Cline to generate TypeScript types based on your available metrics or dimensions. It will use the `get_metrics` and `get_dimensions` tools to get the schema and write the corresponding type definitions for you.
You can specify it in your prompt, or just ask Cline to find the right one. It will use the `list_report_suites` tool from its MCP connection to see what's available and pick the most relevant one based on your instructions.
Absolutely. Cline can use the `list_segments` tool to fetch a list of your Adobe Analytics audiences. You can then have it write code that references those segment IDs for things like personalization or A/B testing.
Cline accesses your Adobe Analytics data, including reports and segments, via a secure, temporary connection to the MCP Server. The data is only used for the duration of the task you assigned. Nothing is stored on Vinkius servers, and the connection is torn down once Cline's job is done.
