Pipe Security Data into BigQuery

Your Gemini agent can now act as a data pipeline for security findings. Have it run `export_all_issues` on a schedule, then format the output for direct ingestion into a BigQuery table. This gives your security team a data warehouse for all Aikido vulnerabilities. This isn't just for vulnerabilities. The agent can fetch compliance data with `get_iso_compliance` and `get_soc2_compliance`, giving you a historical record of your compliance posture. Since ADK is native to Google Cloud, the integration is straightforward.

Get Live Cloud Asset Intelligence

Use a Gemini agent to build a complete picture of your cloud estate. It can call `list_cloud_assets`, `list_containers`, and `list_virtual_machines` to get a full inventory from Aikido. The agent can handle the pagination for you. With Gemini's large context window, you can feed this entire inventory into the model. Then, ask complex questions like "show me all unmonitored VMs in us-east-1" or "which container images have critical vulnerabilities?". The agent uses the `list_open_issues` tool to cross-reference the data.

Manage Security with your Google ADK Agent

This MCP server turns your agent into a security operations assistant. It can use `list_users` and `list_teams` to audit who has access to what within your Aikido organization. It’s perfect for periodic access reviews. You can also build agents to manage your security tooling itself. Have an agent check `list_custom_rules` to make sure your SAST rules are up to date, or use `list_webhooks` to confirm that alerts are still flowing to your monitoring systems. It’s a good way to automate your own toolchain checks.

Setup guide

Set up Aikido Security MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Aikido Security tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Aikido Security_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Aikido Security tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Aikido Security MCP in Google ADK

You'll use the `McpToolset` from the `google-adk` library, pointing it to your Vinkius MCP server URL. Pass that toolset to your `LlmAgent`. The agent will then have access to all the Aikido Security functions.
Absolutely. Google ADK is designed to work within the Vertex AI ecosystem. You can deploy your agent there and it will connect to the Aikido Security server to fetch data, which you can then use in your other Vertex AI pipelines.
The `McpToolset` constructor takes an optional `tool_names` argument. You can pass a list of strings like `['list_open_issues', 'get_issue_group']` to restrict the agent to only those specific Aikido Security functions.
The tight integration with Google Cloud. Your Gemini agent can pull asset data from Aikido with `list_cloud_assets` and immediately cross-reference it with live data from your GCP projects. This gives you a much richer context for security decisions.
Your agent gets access to your Aikido account's security metadata: vulnerability reports, asset lists, and compliance reports. The data is tunneled through your Vinkius MCP Server endpoint. Vinkius provides an ephemeral environment that isolates the transaction and doesn't store your data.
