Connect Airtable MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Airtable to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Read Airtable architecture in Cursor
The `get_base_metadata` and `list_fields` tools allow Cursor to read your Airtable schema and generate accurate TypeScript interfaces. You stop guessing what the API response looks like. The agent pulls the exact column names and types straight from your base. When writing integration code, knowing the schema prevents runtime errors. Calling `list_tables` tells the editor exactly which endpoints exist, so the AI writes fetch calls that actually work on the first try.
Fetch real records via MCP Server
Cursor uses the `search_records` and `get_record` tools to pull actual data from your base to use as test fixtures or context. Instead of generating fake mock data, your agent grabs real rows to test your UI components. Writing a script to process inventory? The `list_records` tool feeds a sample of your current stock levels into the editor context. Your agent then writes processing logic tailored exactly to the shape of your live data.
Script bulk operations faster
Triggering `create_records`, `update_records`, and `delete_records` through Cursor Agent mode lets you manipulate your base without leaving the IDE. Need to clear out test data? Just ask the agent to wipe the specific rows you created during development. This turns your MCP server into an administrative console for your database. You write the logic, and the agent executes the required state changes in Airtable immediately using the provided tools.
